      Join us for a screening of The Judge presented in conjunction with Ummah, an exhibition in the ACME Lab exploring Islam and celebrating local voices. Then, stay for a Q&A with the film’s director Erika Cohn. This documentary film follows Kholoud Al-Faqih, the first woman judge appointed to the Middle East’s Shari’a (Islamic law) courts, as she fights for justice for women and offers rare insight into both Islamic law and gendered justice. This event is free, but there is limited seating in the auditorium. Please register for a ticket through the Eventbrite link to ensure that you will have a seat.
